The client has partnering with our Health Insurance client who is seeking an Agile/Release Train Engineer. This individual will serve as the Release Train Engineer for the enterprise DevOps efforts, working with various agile teams, technical product owners, extended teams, and management teams at our client in WDC for 6 months+.

Required Skills:
-Proven experience as SAFe Release train Engineer, or Scrum Master/Kanban/SAFe practitioner with large number of teams.
-Proven experience getting teams to adopt agile methodologies.
-Excellent communication and Partnership skills
-Hands on experience with Agile practices that help teams become high performing.
-Proven leadership experience in IT delivery, building and sustaining high performing teams.
-Provide need based coaching to team members to be agile and support agile delivery.
-SAFe SPC, SAFe RTE, Scrum Master or other certifications experience are highly preferred

The selected candidate will:
-Serve as the release train engineer for the Enterprise DevOps effort, working with many DevOps tracks/teams, to prepare the teams for Program Increment planning, run the Scrum of Scrums, facilitate the Product Owner Synch-up, architecture runway meetings etc., Retrospectives etc.
-Provide coaching to individual teams, with a tactical training on Scrum, Kanban, Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) used for the program. This includes working in a hands-on manner with the teams, helping the teams embrace an agile mindset, leverage Agile and its ceremonies, roles, and artifacts to reach greater success.
-Improve results of DevOps initiative in terms of predictability of delivery, productivity improvement, quality etc. Coach teams and management towards leveraging agile process and metrics, evaluate and mentor existing agile teams,
-Support and guide efforts to bring disclosure and transparency, and grow trust between different teams who are part of value delivery. Identify levels of conflict in a group and surface conflict in a positive manner to improve teams performance and best possible solutions to challenges.
-Comfortable working at all levels (team, stakeholder, and management) to help the organization leverage SAFe for DevOps initiative. Capture feedback from teams and stakeholders to continuously improve enterprise DevOps execution. Identify, capture and mitigate organization impediments that impact the team.
-Continuously improve the areas of release planning, backlog grooming, story writing, as well as the ceremonies of Scrum, SAFe, Kanban and technical best-practices through coaching, training etc.
-Identify characteristics of high performing team, help teams assess their performance and identify areas for improvement; foster self-organizing team culture including; facilitative leadership, defining team norms, facilitating the appropriate type of decision making, and allowing leadership and roles to emerge. Embrace servant leadership and display the behaviors that come with the key mindset shifts associated with agile methods.
