Must be a US Citizen who currently possesses a Top Secret Clearance.
The majority of the computers that the client team is responsible for are IBM Power Servers running AIX and Oracle. The operational system has 4 P7 795 Systems running multiple partitions performing compute and database functions, a mix of mid-size pSeries and Power servers for supporting functions, and approximately 80 end-user pSeries workstations. A team of two client specialists provide System Analyst skills for integration and software technical support for the operational system. IBM analysts handle system daily administration tasks, system upgrades, support for customer deliveries of application software, and any technical problems as they occur on a 24x7 basis. The two IBM analysts are providing services that also covers sustainability services.
High-level tasks include:
Customize and integrate developed applications software into a distributed and highly available network.
Task consists of customization of shell scripts to support system operation and management; integration of operating system specific applications program interfaces into mission applications and custom configuration of operating systems components to accommodate routine maintenance of redundant systems and special operating requirements identified during the integration process.
Participate in the design and integration planning for new additions and changes.
Additional responsibilities are configuration and administration of Cisco Nexus switch/routers, Cisco SAN fiber channel switches and SVC/SIV/V7000 storage primarily using NPIV. RedHat Linux usages is expanding in this account, some of which is the IBM team's responsibility as well.
6 or more years of experience on current IBM hardware platforms to include:
1) AIX operating system familiarity and experience with shell scripting
2) IBM hardware installation and configuration experience
3) Analyze Processing System performance to locate deficiencies in operation and performance of the current system
4) Test experience
A Government recognized Information Assurance certification. Personnel accessing SENSOR information systems must have the proper and current information assurance certifications to perform information assurance functions prescribed the SOW and DoD Directive 8570.01-M. Recognized certifications include but are not limited to A+-CE, Network + CE, SSCP, CCNA, CISSP etc.
5) Analyze operational requirement specifications for impacts to current network performance
6) Develop and provide maintenance procedures for all activities required to sustain the Processing System for which you are responsible
7) Limited familiarity with the C++ programming language
8) Limited Information Assurance Support experience
Provide primary job duties:

Job Duty 2 with % of time -25% Installation and Configuration
Job Duty 3 with % of time -20% System performance analysis
Job Duty 4 with % of time -15 % Support testing
