We are seeking a contract worker to run & design experiments from the lab bench to identify and validate new drug targets for dermatological inflammatory diseases such as psoriasis & atopic dermatitis.

Key responsibilities include the ability to design and perform cellular & biochemical assays to probe target biology. Prior experience with cell culture is required. Additional responsibilities include data analysis, interpretation, and communication of experimental results to project team members, as well as working in a strong collaborative atmosphere to achieve project milestones.

Candidates should be familiar with mammalian tissue culture, cell-based assays, and molecular biology techniques (qPCR, western blotting). Experience with RNAi techniques or CRISPR is a plus. Candidates should also be familiar with assay equipment such as plate readers, spectrometers, and various biochemical assay formats (e.g. IP, FRET, ELISA, etc.). Strong skills in data analysis/presentation and attention to detail in experimental design are very important. A background in medium-throughput screening of small molecules or antibodies would be an advantage.

Qualified applicants will have a B.S. or M.S. or equivalent in Cell Biology, Genetics, Biochemistry, Immunology, or a related field & experience in quantitative analysis of biological data. 2+ years industry experience is preferred.

Required lab skills:
Cell Culture
RNAi (siRNA, shRNA, CRISPR, etc.), experience with all RNAi methods is not necessary but experience with one method is required

Soft skills:
Must be able to hit the ground running. Q1-Q2 is very busy this year for my projects.
Good notebooking skills.
Must be flexible. Candidate will be contributing to different projects and will have to manage multiple work-flows.
