As a Development Lead for the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) EOP, the candidate will lead and manage multiple Agile teams of experienced, developers, testers, business analysts, architects and other technical support personnel. The ERA team is supporting NARA to build a next generation digital archival solution and the Development Manager will be responsible for overall technical solution implementation
It is important to note that this position may become a long-term opportunity funded through small Technical Direction Letters (TDL), where each TDL is the equivalent to a task order or a release. The client has 10-year overall contract with NARA to provide services.
1.10+ years of experience in leading and managing software projects of various complexity
2.5+ years of experience in leading software projects of various complexity
3.3+ years software development experience with Java,
5.3+ years of experience in Applications architecture and design
6.Has past experience in all cycles of SDLC such as software architecture, development, systems engineering, and testing.
7.Experienced in defining and recommending best practices and principles of data architecture such as defining data quality/governance controls to improve data integrity
8.Knowledge and experience in the areas of Big data, Agile methodology, Cloud technologies, Java development platforms
9.Excellent oral and written communication skills
10.Bachelors degree in IT majors
1.Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or related field
Provide primary job duties:
Job Duty 1 with 40% of time- Lead multiple development teams by actively participating in design and scrum meetings and helping the team members to come consensus on technical issues.
Job Duty 2 with 20% of time- Manage technical scope, customer requirements.
Job Duty 3 with 15% of time- Manage client expectations, communicating with multiple client stakeholders.
Job Duty 4 with 15% of time- Deliverables reviews and management including being proficient with MS Project
Job Duty 5 with 10% of time- Keeping teams productive by actively coaching, training, and performing performance reviews.
Certifications: note required or preferred (CCNA, CCNP, CISA, CISSP, CISM)
ITIL Foundation in IT Service Management or ITIL Intermediate Level (preferred)
