The client is partnering with our government client who is seeking an ETL Specialist for a new web-based application for the Social Security Administration located in Baltimore, MD for a 6 months+ contract opportunity. Manager will require an onsite interview.

This application will replace the currently existing form. This person will need to have experience in migrating the historical data to the new system and be involved/ design the new reports.

Must have experience performing a similar role within multiple enterprise data warehouse projects. Strong experience using Agile project management methodology and/or has current Oracle DBA certification (nice to have.) The ETL developer shall have proven experience working in a high-paced, technical environment. The ETL developer needs to be on-site 4-5 days. Local resources (Washington DC Area) will only be considered for this project since this doesn't allow for travel.

REQUIRED SKILLS (in order of importance)
-5-6 years of related ETL developer experience using DataStage and/or Informatica experience. Strong experience with PostgreSQL is a must.
-Experience using DataStage and/or Informatica, PostgreSQL and other ETL tools
-Experience using agile software tools such as Rally, Version One, Jira, TFS, Urban Turtle, or other related products
-Experience using Linux Scripting
-Good communication skills, and problem solving abilities. Experience working the agile environment with continuous delivery

NICE TO HAVE SKILLS:
-Some experience in data modeling and administration
-Good understanding of the concepts of Big Data (2 to 3 years)
-Experience with high volume websites that use multi-tier architectures a significant plus
-Experience using data modeling tools such Erwin
-Experience using Oracle Golden Gate, Grid Control, RMAN

RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Identify and analyze data discrepancies and data quality issues and work to ensure data consistency and integrity
-Fine tune, and optimize SQL queries, as well as utilize a mix of Oracle triggers, packages, functions, procedures, and object types.
-Ensure the stabilization and high performance of existing ETL processes
-Troubleshoot any complex data-related issues as well as provide support to production
-Develop and deploy ETL job workflow with reliable error/exception handling and rollback
-Drive process improvement and improve process efficiency/ Document all ETL and data warehouse processes and flows
-Communicate issues, risks and concerns proactively to management
-Optimize, develop and maintain integration solutions using SQL Server SSIS and ETL Framework (BIDS) as necessary to connect legacy data stores, the data warehouse, and third-party platforms
-Document all ETL and data warehouse processes and flows
-Review technical documentation to verify compliance with client requirements and established architectural standards and guidelines
-Ability to multi-task and be able to work independently with minimal guidance
-Experience using Jenkins, Maven (nice to have)
-Working knowledge of LINUX and shell scripting.
