Statement of Work:
The client is seeking a highly qualified HPC System Architect with strong interpersonal skills and business acumen to join our HPC team. You will have the opportunity to work within the client as well as with industry partners to find the best solutions for our customers and ultimately influence the growth strategy of our organization. You must be highly self-motivated, love delighting customers, love winning and have a track record to prove it! This is a key leadership position within our HPC organization. ?Develop HPC solutions and pricing
?Author HPC architecture and design documents and proposals
?Work at the direction of IBM HPC Portfolio Executive or IBM HPC Proposal Manager
?Support HPC Portfolio growth objectives
Required skills/Level of Experience :
? 5 or more years' experience in architecting HPC client solutions which include, but not limited to the following:
? Deep understanding of IBM and other vendors' HPC portfolios for the purpose of helping IBM client teams prepare optimal solutions for HPC clients.
? The ability to effectively communicate solutions and the IBM HPC strategy to clients at both the executive and technical level.
? Ability to engage directly with client teams to help them build competitive solutions, which balance their storage and compute requirements.
- Design a complete solution which demonstrates reliably consistent runtimes on successive runs of benchmark and operational codes within a consistent environment.
- Ability to design mission critical solutions with a high level of availability.
? Sharp familiarity with Linux and an understanding of the impact of operating system on performance and scalability.
? Deep understanding of the impact of networking technology and topologies on scalability of performance at a system and application level.
? Must have strong initiative and leadership to execute the associated responsibilities
? 5 or more years working experience HPC hardware/ software administration which shall include but not limited to:
Nice to have skills:
? 5+ years of experience in leading and/or supporting winning HPC proposals/ new business opportunities
? 10+ or more years working experience HPC hardware/ software administration which shall include but not limited to:
? Ability to understand and engage on financial implications of proposed solutions.
