Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident who is local to Reston, VA.
Were looking for a Learning Management System Administrator to join our growing Talent Management Team. We launched Appian University (our new Learning Management System) a few months ago as the first step in achieving our digital learning strategy. We are looking for someone to support the systems administration and assist us through the next step on that journey. This role will run through September 30th with the option to extend the contract beyond that date.
The Appian LMS System Administrator will act as the primary point of contact for LMS administrative support tasks such as:
System Administration & Reporting
Set-up user and administrator accounts and maintain appropriate access.
Troubleshoot all system admin issues (including account access) and log in triage log; escalate trends to the Talent Management Manager.
Add or edit entities in the system (users, items, schedule offerings, content objects, objective, domains, etc.).
Generate system reports and run custom reports.
Train other administrators on key system functionality, administrative tasks and processes.
Deactivate LinkedIn Learning accounts as needed (no less than monthly).
Troubleshoot content integration issues to conduct root cause analysis and recommend or provide a resolution when possible.
Assist with remaining systems integration work with Appians HRIS system (reviewing data files, testing, and coordinating with the teams responsible for building the integrations).
Serve as liaison between Talent Management team and technical resources as required; escalate issues through the proper channels and work with escalation point person to achieve issue resolution.
Set-up and work with assignment profiles, large scale course deployments, curricula, instructor-led courses, and retraining periods.
Refresh online content libraries on a quarterly basis (Udemy, LinkedIn Learning, Litmos Heroes).
Create, test, and troubleshoot online content.
Support the review and curation of online content.
Work with the Talent Management team to standardize, streamline and coordinate business and system processes.
Maintain ongoing system documentation.
Support system implementations or upgrades by participating in UAT to test and analyze system functionality and document results.
Participate in client meetings related to support, modifications, configurations and Customizations.
3+ years of experience supporting a Learning Management System (knowledge of Absorb LMS preferred).
Knowledge of technical data processing procedures, policies, and best practices.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong analytical skills.

Ability to work both independently and within a team environment.
Ability to problem-solve creatively and analytically in a fast-paced environment.
Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent.
