Job Title: Manager, Internal Digital Operations

The Manager, Internal Digital Operations establishes and directs the design, delivery, development and measurement of Client Commercial Operations internal digital operations, which focuses on intranet activities and supporting communication programs.

This individual directly manages a team of project & content managers, as well as indirectly manages design and IT resources to ensure a successful business outcome of multiple concurrent projects, as well as manages own projects.

This person is responsible for marketing and presenting web/ digital internal strategies to diverse audiences, manager multiple projects, and maintain schedules, budgets, and prioritize projects.

Supports and sustains strong relationships with brand teams, BTS, and external agencies on their on their internal communication strategies.

The Manager, Internal Digital Operations has breadth and depth of understanding of the business priorities and also maintains a broad understanding of Client's capabilities and technologies in digital communications, primarily using SharePoint, as well as the latest trends in intranet development and emerging communications channels. This individual will develop and help implement governance, best practices and guidelines for the Commercial Operations internal digital organization and share these with the corporation.

The Manager, Internal Digital Operations will partner with cross-divisional functions, brands, affiliates, operations, systems, legal, regulatory, medical affairs, external vendors and alliance partners to ensure the objectives of Client's internal digital communications strategies are being met.

Leads the development and implementation of internal digital communications strategies to support Client's business via the intranet and other media
• Accountable for defining, planning, orchestrating and delivering assigned strategic projects to support Commercial Operations brands, functions, teams and programs
• Works with matrix business, corporate and IT partners to oversee all phases of the project and ensure that all project processes are completed as required
• Ensures end results are of the highest caliber with a clear linkage between the business vision/context and the project scope and objectives
• Ensures mechanisms to measure benefits are set up in the project

Directs, manages and coordinates team members including project managers, business and technology resources, user groups, internal and external contractors, vendors, clients and the appropriate regulatory agencies for multiple and often complex, large scale projects.
• Exercises accountability for project teams
• Ensures projects are staffed with right mix of people who exhibit the required perspectives, skills and behaviors
• Provides leadership, motivation, coaching, mentoring and professional development to project team members in order to obtain a high level of contribution and cooperation
• Builds and sustains relationships and communications with business partners at various levels of the organization, providing sound advice, counsel and support
• Ensures project issues and risks are identified, quantified, managed and tracked. Uses past experience to proactively anticipate risk and develop appropriate mitigation strategies and plans. Ensures risks, assumptions, and constraints are appropriately communicated and escalated when necessary
• Rigorously manages scope to ensure commitments are achieved within agreed upon time, cost and quality parameters

Leads the development and implementation of internal digital communications strategies to support Client's business via the intranet and other media
• Leads the development and implementation of portals supporting Commercial Operations brands, functions, teams and programs
Identifies opportunities to expand marketing & communication innovation and to effectively leverage existing capabilities across brands, areas and affiliates and the broader Client organization
• Creates functional requirements documentation and test scripts for User Acceptance Testing
Monitors internet behavior and conducts usability studies to yield actionable insights that help to shape strategy and tactics
Measures usage and implementation; provides actionable strategies on how to increase value
• Manages the execution of short and long term objectives and tactical plans for delivery of internal marketing and communications programs
• Maintains subject matter expertise regarding internal digital and intranet program operations in support of product managers, functional directors, public affairs, design agencies, as well as other key stakeholders
• Provides guidance and consultation to internal and external stakeholders on execution of internal digital communications strategies
• Leads and manages the digital execution of all Commercial Operations intranet activities.

Manages budget and financial forecasts and provides on-going reconciliation of resources and other related project expenditures
Develops and implements governance, best practices and guidelines for internal digital resources

Position Accountability / Scope

The Manager, Internal Digital Operations reports to the Director, Multi-Channel Service Operations and will work through the Internal Digital Operations team both independently and in cooperation with brands, functions, division, affiliates, marketing, operations, systems, legal, regulatory, medical affairs, external vendors and alliance partners. Must be a proven leader, able to develop and revise plans, priorities, timelines and courses of action to ensure enterprise digital marketing & communications objectives are met.

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor's Degree: Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, communications

Minimum five years' experience leading a team
Capable of leading and improving current IDO service model.
5 to 10 years of experience working in a project management, communications and/or marketing position
Requires knowledge of digital communication strategies, intranet technologies- specifically Experience with managing the development and implementation of multiple projects simultaneously
Accomplished communicator, consensus-builder and influencer
Strong strategic thinking and proven problem-solving abilities
Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point) Required

Adobe Creative Suite experience
