Position Description
The Network Engineer is responsible for building, operating, and maintaining all Linux servers in the COCO environment. Server environments include development, testing, and BETA.

Key responsibilities include:
1. Maintaining firmware patches for every Network Device
2. Configuring and maintaining network services on servers
3. Configure/Document Changes to Network Equipment including but not limited to Cisco/Juniper/Palo Alto
4. Writing scripts to automate common administration tasks
5. Architecting and Implementing Software Defined Network
6. Building and Managing Site to Site VPN Tunnels

Required Skills
1. Scripting/Automation Services ? (1 Year)
2. Networking (Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto, Brocade)? (7 Years)
3. Security Compliance and Best Practices (1-2 Years)
4. Experience of LAN and WAN Configuration, Architecture
5. Experience of Remote Site support using Out-Of-Band or POTS
6. Experience recovering hardware from "bricked? status using ROMMON

Preferred Skills
1. Expert knowledge of Juniper/Brocade
2. Understanding of government security guidelines and standards
3. Knowledge of Client OneNET
4. Understanding of automated audit log collection & analysis tools
5. Network Industry Certifications (CCNP or JNCIA)

Job Duty 1 with % of time ? Support Program Network Engineering needs (Architect efficient solutions, Operate & manage, Patch systems) 70%
Job Duty 2 with % of time ? Address Break-Fix Issues 20%
Job Duty 3 with % of time - Automate common administration tasks 5%
