|The Support Engineer works with the team that is responsible for the day to day maintenance and support of our Office 365 tenancy with a focus on Exchange, Skype for Business and the O365 Admin Console.|
Office 365 and Exchange senior support engineer responsible for the implementation and ongoing support of all office 365, Exchange and Skype for business systems. Provide direct technical support in problem management, integration, and systems maintenance of the of the Office 365 tenancy. Ensure performance and availability meet SLA's and objectives through monitoring, timely service restoration, and tuning. Duties may include implementation, maintenance/administration, and troubleshooting and diagnostics.
? Day to day tier 2 and 3 support of Office 365 with a focus on Exchange, Skype for Business and license management
? Perform root cause analysis to quickly recover from service interruptions, and to prevent recurring problems
? Provide technical support, as needed, to the enterprise
? Provide weekly key performance metrics and status updates to leadership
? Understanding of and adherence to ITIL best practices and change management.
? Consult with other business units (e.g. application groups, DBAs, middleware, etc.) to configure platforms for product installation and ongoing support
? Works closely with Engineering, Operations and IT Field Services.
? On-Call rotations and after-hours work and weekends.
5 -7 years' experience specifically in day to day operations of a large enterprise Office 365 implementation. Subject Matter Expert level skills specifically in Exchange and Skype for Business administration.
The candidate should have solid fundamentals in basic PowerShell and experience in automation of tasks is a plus
The candidate should have solid fundamentals in parsing through logs for wire shark / netmon captures and show advanced trouble-shooting skills.
The candidate should be able to perform some engineering level work and be highly capable in documenting processes and knowledge articles.
Familiarity with Change Management
Be self-driven and motivated to learn
Knowledge / familiarity of scripting languages a big plus
Must be a local candidate who can go onsite for an interview. Remote is not an option.
