The client has partnered with a global member-owned cooperative and the world's leading provider of secure financial messaging services in their search for an Openshift/Kubernetes Architect to join their Architecture team in Manassas, VA.
This client works a 7.5hr day/37.5hr week ? with NO OVERTIME
Our partner is in the process of creating an entirely new way of delivering applications to their organization through an open-source infrastructure designed to be microservice and container oriented.
They're in need of a hands-on technical professional who has previous experience setting up mission critical open-source infrastructures for applications using Openshift's Enterprise Kubernetes platform.
Candidates must have the professional maturity to be able to see and articulate the big picture while applying their hands-on technical expertise to a wider audience can you whiteboard how you set up a similar environment/infrastructure? Can you, and do you, perform the actual tasks the technology is set up to deliver, while explaining what it does and doesn't do?
Designed production Openshift/Kubernetes clusters
Defined/configured SDN options for OpenShift/Kubernetes
Created solutions for persistent storage with containers
Analyzed and selected 3rd party technology to add on to OpenShift/Kubernetes for monitoring and security of mission critical workloads
Performed automated provisioning and scaling of containers
Defined container based images and container based Ci/CD pipelines
Defined microservice architecture with containers
Deployed integration technology like Kafka into containers
Refactored legacy applications to containers and microservices
