? BS, MS in Polymer or Materials Science and Engineering, Polymer Chemistry
? Current knowledge of polymeric materials in the medical industry
? three or more years of experience in polymers characterization
? Preferably expertise in the area of injection molding process

Job Description
As a member of our Materials Characterization Team, you will play a key role in improving product performance by building expertise on the product's materials properties. You will use engineering and analytical principals to work with products, components, and processes in a collaborative environment to implement product improvements. Your focus will be on-market product technical support and improvement, using expertise in polymer analysis, testing, and failure.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
? Conduct chemical analysis of polymers, raw materials, resins and additives
? Conduct failure analysis related to injection molding or packaging, investigate and identify defects
? Ensure specifications maintain alignment with customer needs
? Engage and coordinate activities between cross-functional teams
? Document analysis and product specifications
? Safeguard the environment and facilitate a safe and healthy workplace

EXPERIENCE:
? Minimum 3 years in an engineering/analytical role
? Must have an experience using FTIR, microscopy, dimensional analysis, surface spectroscopy

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
? Bachelor's Degree in STEM, Polymer Science, Materials Science, Chemistry or equivalent
? Demonstrated initiative and problem-solving skills; critical thinking skills
? Ability to design experiments, analyze and interpret data, and document conclusions;
? Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary team members and to work independently;
? Strong investigational skills, drive to understand and solve problems;
? Propensity for continuous learning and experimentation.
? Experience with statistical software and associated scripting an asset.
? Will work with samples that include human blood and blood components using procedural controls and personal protective equipment
