Must be a US Citizen who currently possesses a Secret or Top Secret Clearance.
Responsible for the analyzing of system performance to ensure optimal processing efficiency. Works closely with IT Technical and Application Support teams in identifying and resolving processing issues. Performs problem determination, analysis and executes corrective action. Creates and maintains various analytical reports utilized by both technical and business owners. Supports all Business Continuity activities.
Minimum of 5 years working experience on the Mainframe with strong knowledge of JCL, TSO/ISPF
Minimum of 5 years -Hands-on experience with a Mainframe Scheduling tool such Control M, Tivoli Workstation (TWS) or CA7
-Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills
-Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills.
-Experience with SQL to analyze data in an automated fashion
Provide primary job duties:
-Validate the critical end points for nightly batch milestone completion ? 20%
-Coordinate changes to the production scheduler to optimize the batch stream ? 20%
-Eliminate time dependencies in the schedule where applicable by correcting dependencies or adding special resource processing to the schedule ? 15%
-Validate all predecessors and successors with the application development teams ? 20%
-Validate critical path jobs and ensure they are classified as such and associated to the correct endpoint/system 10%
-Perform analysis of mainframe batch stream to eliminate jobs that no longer perform a valid function ? 10%
-Review and establish SLAs for each job within the nightly batch stream ? 5%
