Must be a US Citizen who currently possesses a Top Secret Clearance and is SCI eligible.
The on-site Linux HPC System Administrator (SA) shall be engaged in full spectrum system management/administration responsibilities for the HPC systems. The resources will be skilled in HPC systems management, Linux maintenance and administration, and shell scripting. Duties will include a wide range of system administration duties for the HPC platforms consisting of configuration management, problem determination and resolution, software / firmware upgrades and implementation of monitoring and support tools for realization of higher quality services including increased efficiency and enhanced productivity. Sample tasks may include the following activities:
Act as the technical liaison between DOD and the various client organizations supporting the TI-17 contract.
Provide maintenance and tuning of the operating system, associated middle-ware, and native file systems.
Assist with planning of software and firmware upgrades.
Perform Scheduled System Maintenance:
?Maintain the OS and software and firmware levels on the client system(s).
?Work with the DOD Technical Contact to schedule downtime for preventative maintenance (PM) actions.
?Perform software and firmware upgrades as directed and appropriate.
?As appropriate, work with DOD, client, third party vendors and other systems integrators (as applicable) to resolve issues associated with the upgrades/PM actions.
?Assist with the migration of the data from existing systems to the new systems.
?Assist with I/O performance analysis and I/O optimization on the HPC systems.
?Work with client support and development teams to identify and resolve system issues and software defects.
Implement tools and processes to provide reports per DOD requirements.
Allow DOD priorities to dictate sequencing of tasks requiring SA support at any particular time.
Required skills/Level of Experience :
?Minimum 10 years of Linux sys admin experience in an HPC / clustered environment.
?Bachelor's degree in computer related field.
?Excellent written and verbal communications as well as customer facing skills.
?Excellent scripting skills.
?Experience with the following Linux HPC Software Stack:
?Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)
?Parallel Environment (PE)
?Parallel Computing LSF
CMMi Level 3
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Nice to have skills:
?Mellanox Unified Fabric Manager (UFM)
